Carla Chavec is an upcoming junior at Oviedo High School, she is very passionate about creative writing and her school’s newspaper. In seventh grade, she co-founded a newspaper club at her middle school that will continue to be used as an outlet for aspiring journalists. Chavec started doing newspapers because she finds that creative writing gives her a deeper understanding of the world and the words that can be used to tell a meaningful story, “I want to see how far I can go- to research and be curious about the world, rather than just stay in my own imagination.” Chavec said.
