Ellie Symons is a senior at Dreyfoos School of the Arts and the Co-Editor-In-Chief of her school’s news magazine, The Muse.  As an EIC, Symons’s responsibility spans every aspect of her publication’s coverage. While her work may sometimes be stressful and daunting, she puts hours into The Muse not because she must, but because she has found her passion in the newsroom. Outside of newspaper class, she works as the communications director of two student organizations. Her positions in both projects are dedicated to serving her community using her journalistic talents. Expanding her horizons, Symons has challenged herself during several news-based internships.  This need for knowledge stems from her belief in the importance of free thought.  

“America is getting to a scary point where their opinions are just opinion based and not fact based, so I would like to inform people,” Symons said.
