Jeylianis Mujica-Rivera, a senior from Boone High School is serving as the Design Editor for her 4^th and final year. Her job is to make sure her fellow staff voice their ideas and get them to the page. She already has some design ideas for the newspaper due to putting in the work over summer. Jey is very involved in academics within Boone. She takes AP classes, is a member of Spanish Club, as well as the English Honors Society. She likes the writing aspect of publication more than reading. She has grown to love Highlights despite wanting to quit at first. “I’m glad I didn’t. That’s where I found a safe and comforting place to be in.”
